Commonly asked questions.

Q: What type of insurance do you accept?
A: We partner with an expansive network of insurance providers to ensure your treatments are covered. Check for more insurance provider information here.

Q: How soon can I begin ABA services?
A: As soon as an autism diagnosis is completed, insurance provider/coverage is confirmed and the assessment completed, we can begin ABA services. We currently do not have a waitlist for our ABA treatment program, which enables families access to ABA sooner. This can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to get started.

Q: How much does ABA therapy cost?
A: We reach out to your insurance provider and assist with obtaining a full breakdown of all costs for treatment. ABA services range in costs and depend on your insurance coverage.  During our consultation, we will discuss any coverage questions you may have.

Q: Will my child be able to communicate using spoken language after ABA?
A: There’s no “one size fits all” approach to ABA. We cater our programs to the individual, so results may vary greatly. We’ve seen success which happens within weeks, and we’ve also seen success that has taken months.

Q: What sets Communication Lab apart from other ABA services?
A: The caregiver child connection is at the core of everything we do. Our main goal and focus is to help provide you with the tools to communicate and relate with individuals with autism. We focus on the caregiver – child connection. And our main goal is to help provide you with the tools necessary to not only implement ABA tools, but to also communicate and relate with your child with autism.

Q: What type of training, qualifications and experience do your behavior therapists have?
A: All of our Behavior Therapists have their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) certification, receive competency checks and ongoing training throughout your treatment plan. In addition, our BT’s are supervised by a team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) who oversee the ABA program and make regular visits to observe ABA sessions.

Q: How long does the initial assessment take?
A: Approximately 3-4 weeks.
